You might be able to see this on the property listing, as most property listing platforms will show the listing date, however, asking the agent directly may give you a chance to ascertain why a property has been on the market too long. The facts might put things into context and may help you in your buying decision.

Properties are sometimes also taken off listing platforms and re-listed due to a mandate having expired with one agency and another agency having been appointed, so it's important to ascertain the actual listed "on-market" date.
